Grantmaking Guidelines

Overview

Thank you for your interest in a partnership with Montage Health!

As a tax-exempt, nonprofit hospital serving the residents of the Monterey Peninsula and surrounding communities, we prioritize requests that align with our mission to support the pursuit of optimal health for all people in Monterey County.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Please allow at least 3 weeks for review.

We have 4 grant programs with one single application below.


Available Grant Programs:

1. Community Benefit Program Grants

  • Only available to registered 501(c)3 nonprofits that provide services in Monterey County
  • Priority to applications that (1) provide access to health services, (2) support diabetes prevention and education, and (3) support mental health
  • Outcome report is required

2. Event Sponsorships

  • Preference is given to events that serve Monterey County residents
  • Post-event summary with photos may be required
  • Allow enough time for our review to be included in any print deadlines

3. Youth Athletic Sponsorships

  • Available to Monterey County leagues and high schools
  • Unable support individual teams

4. Sober Grad Week Activities for Monterey County High Schools

  • Provides $1,000 to any Monterey County high schools providing sober grad activities for their senior students
  • Funding must go to the organizing booster club or PTA organization


Keep In Mind

Applicants must apply online.

There is a finite amount available if requesting both a program grant and sponsorship in the same year.

We do not support performing or visual arts organizations unless the organization is in partnership with a Montage Health division.

We do not make grants to organizations that discriminate in the hiring, advancement, or recruitment of employees or volunteers.

  • If anything changes with the information you submitted, please request to edit the submission. If you need to make changes to your form, please withdraw your submission and resubmit.

  • We will follow up with you about your submission by email. Please be sure to safelist notification emails from Submittable and check the email you used to sign up for your Submittable account regularly.
